Woke up this am to another T-Storm and 1" rain overnight. That's 13" over the last three weeks, with only one two day stretch of partly cloudy, when everyone in town cut wet grass! And the forcast for the coming week is rain everyday. It's really got me depressed! We' were 9" behind for 2009, so must have been one too many Choctaw Rain Dances.
Got down to Anna, TX Saturday and it was dry! Front is just sitting over the 'Red River Valley' and dumping on us!

Heading out for N.Mexico on Friday, just to get away and into some sunshine! Going to the Charity Dyno event ....
for "Families of Fallen Soldiers" in Albuquerque, put on by Chris Brah (Mr. Ravelco, for those of you that met him at the Ranch).

Sorry to sound like I'm 'bitchin' when others have much bigger problems than a little flooding. Just getting water-logged and going nuts!

Great Max - I'll take whatever you have. Has to be an improvement!

Big TS Event in Bowling Green, KY was cancelled, Friday night, by track owners due to a few drunk truck owners doing donuts in the camp ground field, spraying everyone, and then sneaking onto the track in the middle of the night and covering it with mud!
I feel bad for Lazarsmith .... drove out there for business reasons. Others drove up to 2000 miles to race, sell product and attend. And the Sponsors lost their serious set up investment. Our sport is in trouble!

I won't go back to Buda event for this very reason. Someday, someone is going to get hurt badly or even killed at one these get-togethers. Remember the donut 'gravel spray' at Alvarado... two yrs ago!

This post on Competition Diesel also reaffirms, for me, why I love DTR. Read just some of this Comp Diesel link and see how The DTR site would be without the rules and regulations!

Yeah that really sucked about some bozos ruining the entire TS race event!!

They need to be strung up to a tall tree with a short piece of rope.

RJ, do you have any idea of when you will be pulling through Tucumcari, It's about 175 miles east of ALB.

If you want to get out an stretch your legs I know of a neat wind turbine you can drive up to and walk around I can also advise ya on the 2 tasty eat stops in town.

Send me your cell #. I'll call when close!
Best guess is 1-ish, local.
Leaving early (5 am)...that's the flight plan anyway.
Like to have time to look around a new town when I get there. Haven't been to Albuquerque for 10+ yrs.

Ya I realy fealt bad for Lazarsmith also and we had many of issues with other stuff while we was there also, I realy wanted to see some drag racing and ya there were guys from all over the country that was there for that and wasnt happy! It was a long hard weekend but we managed to get stuff done. Saturday my 06 carrier bearing went out on my way to the campground so Dan Vallance came and towed me back and then my engined showed up and it took a good while to get that thing outa the back of a truck and then of course it came out of an auto so we had to swap ecm, wire harness and remove tranny cooler etc. It was along day and then we got the clutch and tranny stabbed sunday morning and dropped it down in the truck and it was a tight fit and that took a good while! Well we ran intosome issues here and there but got it running anf then right before we was about to leave on monday we went to install the drivshaft for the 06 and some1 stole the rear peice! So, I had to use mine and drive my 04 back in front wheel drive, it was realy our only option but it made it home just fine. We got to be in the pits at the Diesel Power Challenge on monday and watch that and it was alot of fun,

Too bad a bunch of immature idiots have to ruin an event for everyone. I hate it, but we've seen some of the same antics close to home. I'm really sorry that Mike and other vendors and racers had his plans ruined. Maybe a SWAT team needs to be booked for future events.

Well of course the Diesel PowerChallenge was still going on on monday Mike andI was down in the pitts, they told Mike that he couls make some runs I believe and then all of a sudden they rushed everyone out we were very upset. On saturday night there was still a truck pull at Lambert Park about 7 miles from Beech Bend camp and raceway, I went out there sat night and wow there were thousands of ppl and trucks! By far the biggest event I ever been to, but they were having a few dynos there but we never got the chance considering everything was sorta ruined bacause of what happened friday nite. Alot of ppl came a long ways for this and are of course very upset
