Who has a Weekend Warrior toy hauler 5er
We are looking at an '08 WW Full Throttle 4005 40 footer. It's got about everything we were looking for and is the best quality and craftsmanship we've seen.
They have 12 inch I beam frame with formed channel crossmembers. The suspension is mounted on a sub carriage that is welded on to the main frame.
My only concern was that there was not full belly pan only back to the 1st axel.
They will even add up to 5 feet in the garage and add 3 8000# axels.
What's your experience with these toy haulers??
Warrantee?
Features??
Durability?
thanks

My brother has an '05 LE3905 (I think that's the right floorplan, but it'd definitely the 39 something) and he has had great luck with it, other than several blown tires. I don't think he has had a single build issue with it.
I have heard both good and bad things about Weekend Warrior. For a while there build quality was subpar and customer service was worse than that. Now I'm starting to hear more positive than negative remarks. If you do buy one, before you sign the papers do a thorough PDI and make the dealer address any issue you find.
One last comment. Weekend Warriors usually weigh quite a bit more than their listed weight, and the Full Throttle has a tremendous pin weight. You can check RV.net, under the Toyhaulers forum, for what actually Full Throttles are weighing in at. Be sure your truck is up to the task before making your decision.
Good luck!

The brand new 08 model we looked at yesterday was flawless as far as fit and finish. Both interior and exterior. You should have seen the looks I got when I dragged out my creeper and rolled around under it. My son is actually doing the buying. Old dad was crawing around the thing like a cattapillar. I even got up on the top. It had a neat plastic hitch or pin cover over the pin box. Just a little detail but it gave finished look to it. These are well put together. Much better than anything else we've seen.
As far as the weight goes I'm aware of the published weight vs the real weight. You are right about the pin weight...3000# . One of the reasons we called the factory. I think they are very well aware of it too judging by how quick they were in saying that heavier axels are available. It just adds about $8k to price so they offer it as an option to remain competitive with the competition. They will put either 4 6k axels or 3 8k axels on them as an option. If we do this the load capacity goes up as well. Adding 5 feet only adds about 1k to the weight. The suspension is on a sub frame or carriage so it is easy for them to reposition it for length or axels.
All the big TH's are very heavy. The Escalade is 20k rated. I wouldn't be surprised if the truck mfg are pressured into making a "heavy duty 3500" . The GCWR is already out the window even with a maxed out dually. Not that the trucks can't tow it. It just not rated for it.
The new 6.7 dually with the ex brake and 4.10 will haul this all day long.
The DM will need a breather along about noon or so to cool off, then will be ok the rest of the day.
The PS will only last untill noon then will be in the shop for OH for a week.

I was camping with the family one weekend, and in the campground was a transplant from New Mexico living in his WW until construction was completed on his new house. He had a 4005+5'. It was a monster! He was pulling it with an '06 F-350 dually. Said combined weight loaded for the move was 32k! Also said he got 7 mpg while towing. He planned on upgrading to an '08 F-450 once they were available.

I could see us being right at 26k according to what you are saying especially extra length and with my streetrod in it. but with a dually it should be ok especially a new one. My 99 might be working pretty hard but it would only be used for short over night trips with just me and the dog. We'll save the new truck for the long hauls.
Between my son and his friends they have a total of 7 Grizzleys plus my son has a sand buggy. Not counting the ****** streetrod. I'll probably have to trade the car trailer for a GN flat bed for the overflow toys when they head for the sand. haha
thanks for the insights. I had only heard about the chubbiness of the WW

Full Throttle's are weighing in at around 15K. That's why with the 5 foot stretch they're going with the heavier axles. My 30 footer loaded with a buggy, two quads, gas, and water comes in at 13K, 9.5K empty. That FT is their heaviest unit, the CL is next. Do a search in the toyhauler section of RV Net. Many FT owners have reported thier scale weights. I think Ford is the only truck with a 26,000 GCWR, either a tow boss (4.30) F-350 and an F-450. Good luck and be safe.

My neighbor has the FTL and his brother down the street has a Cyclone, and I have a KZ New Vision, all in the 40ft range. The guy with the FTL first pulled it with a F350 dually, and flat hated the way it pulled. He now has a F450. His bro pulls his Cyclone with a F350 SRW truck and says it fine, but I haven’t herd any weights on it, and it’s a beauty of a TH inside and out. I have herd the FTL is pushing 14-15K dry.
As far as mine (KZ), it’s 13.2K dry, 14.5K rolling, with 2900lbs PW, and I pull it with a 3500 SRW, at times I Love the way it pulls and then other times I wish I had a dually. I personally think the KZ and the Cyclone are miles ahead of the WW FTL in quality. I owned a 07’ WW tow trailer and enjoyed it but found it was pretty slammed together after having it for a year. Of course it was a 25K trailer VS. 50K for the KZ. I think the one neighbor paid around 55K for his Cyclone. I was deeply into the WW brand because I liked the RACEY look and it had a fill of being top of the line because it was pretty much the first real TH out. Rite before I got the KZ I was ready to sign the papers on a SL3905. The wife went and looked at Cyclones and then the KZ New Visions, Montego Bays, and Escalde TH’s. Then I went and looked at them. I never went back to the WW dealer. If I had the money and the truck I’d be pulling a 41CKS Escalde. Every trailer has it’s goods and bads, and I’m not bashing WW’s. IMO there are as good or better trailers out there for the same amount of money OR less, and from my experience and others I know, WW’s reputation as far as standing by there product is not the best. And If you don’t live rite by there plant here in SoCa. it mite make it worst.
