Who has towed the most weight
Just curious who out there has towed (5er/hitch/gooseneck) the most weight behind the CTD. I'm not a big hauler, but I'm guessing that the most out there is gonna be around 30K lbs. Just a ball park figure.

I did 30,000lbs a couple of times.....and once with my 53ft it was loaded with diesel engine parts for a warehouse move 50 miles away, I dont know the weight but I do know it was heavy the highest speed I could get was 55 mph and my truck sagged down onto the rubber stops

12 pallets of tile weighing in between 2,800 and 3,000 lbs per pallet and loaded on a 8.300lb 36 ft gn. Somewhere between 52,300 and 49,900 lbs of gross combined weight.
And of course blew all my wheel seals out on the trailer.
PS - only took it about 3-4 miles

I've calculated somewhere around 38-39K, so we'll say 35-36K. All the way from Louisville with my STOCK truck, longest ride of my life. Oh Well, I only had to use third gear once, but didn't get it into 5th untill I hit Cincinatti.
On a side note, the guy who had this truck before me had better not paid very much for his GN hitch, cause that load bent the heck out of that cheesy little 3/4" plate.

My 93 CTD dually 4x4 with just the early banks kit - I have towed my dads 33,000 pound fishing boat- unknown how much the trailer wieghed- it has 8 axels. Probably a good 10 thousand pounds itself. I pulled it out of the water from the mechanical dry dock, up a 45% grade, completely locked down in 4x4 low, then switched it to 2 wheel for the next 120 miles, which took me two days, never left 4th gear on no grade, about 30mph. I wonder how I wore the syncros out in that getrag in only 10 years? LOL
