Question Where to mount BrakeSmart?

In anticipation of recieving the Brakesmart controller I ordered, I was looking around in my cab, looking for a good place to mount it. I've got a third generation Ram ('05) and am looking for some mounting location suggestions....
Also, to clear something up, was I correct in ordering the Brakesmart wiring harness even though Dodge supplied me with a controller pigtail?
Thanks in advance!

I mounted mine on the right side of that little door under the steating column.

Yes you were correct in ordering the wiring harness.

I mounted mine on the right side of the cover that is below the steering column. By my right knee. Position it so that you can read the display while seated in the normal driving position. I can see mine through the steering column spokes. Since the display is not position dependant, you can mount it anywhere you want. I mounted it where I did only because my Prodigy was mounted there and I figured I might as well use the same holes. It is also within easy reach there.

You are gonna love that controller. Sweet. (Right Bob?)

Well Bob, guess you didn't do a good 'nuff job of brainwashing me.... I read all the brakesmart posts, went to their website and ordered . Seems like you were about the only one singing the praises of the Jordan and that wasn't quite enough for me. Gotta do a better job my friend!

Bob, just give in. Install a BrakeSmart and get over it. It will be the best decision you will make this year. As for me, I am trusting YOUR judgement and installing a MorRyde pinbox. See, everyone is HAPPY!!

Hey, I told you - - I installed one - - in the storage compartment.

Now, who is getting smart - - putting on a MORryde pinbox. Good man. You will like it - - really changes those raps in the back to a gentle push.

Dear JordanHappyBob,

Unlike some people I know something good when I see it. I have an open mind, some of them southerners don't. BrakeSmart.

Buddy, you have been taking a beating lately. You must be black and blue. I think you can get the BrakeSmart in Black or Blue.

I just look at the source, grin and move on down the road and STOP with my cheap Jordan. I know what those crazee Canucks are like - - just had to put up with my nutty cousin for a whole week. We had fun, I must admit - - pretty neat lady in spite of where she is from.

Exclamation

I started this thread, and I guess I'm here to bail Bob out... I emailed Steve about approximate delivery and unfortunately due to our circumstances, I had to cancel my brakesmart order. Felt bad, as Steve certainly has a full plate he's dealing with, and he's in our prayers.
Back to the story... I cancelled the brakesmart and since Bob offered to pay half if I ordered a Jordan, how could I resist?
Anyways, it should be here in the next few days. Since I've never had a controller before, I won't have anything to compare this Jordan with, so I guess if it's half as good as 'ol Fiver says, I'll be in his corner swingin' right along with him .
Again, nothing against Brakesmart, it was strictly a logistical issue .
Oh, almost forgot, that part about Bob paying half was just a joke . Sorry Bob, just had to throw one more in there before I come over to the dark or.... Jordan side...

Thanks to Thumper 549, I too am the proud owner of a Brakesmart. Need to order the cabling and such, but not a problem. Truck will soon be happy again.

Some little birdie told me there was a guy around these parts called FiverBob that had an " in" on getting these Braksmart parts quicker

Thanks Thumper,

Ed
