WD hitch - proper setup
I've got a question about the proper setup of a WD hitch. I've got an '01.5 2500 SB and a 7000# 19' (16' deck) tag trailer that I'll be using to pull a 6000# trail rig (rig + gear). Should I setup the ball on the truck so that when empty and WD bars not attached, the trailer deck sits level? Then once I load the trail rig onto the trailer, adjust the WD bars such that the trailer once again sits level?
My truck has the camper package with factory overloads and I'm sure I could easily tow this setup without a WD hitch except for the fact that I would be exceeding the rating of the hitch. Without the WD the hitch is rated for 500/5000 and with WD it's 1000/10000.
So what do you think?

My advice is use the hitch. You are correct in your hook up. measure the height all around without the bars, and then mmake sure that everything moves down the same amount when you tighten them.
