Two Winterizing question
#2
I did back mine onto a couple of 2x12's one time just to have the tires off the blacktop at the lot... does that count? Other than that, I put the rear stabilizers down just to relieve some of the weight since it will be sitting for several months! Never put a cover on it and it's always sparkling white in the spring! Must be the snow runoff or something...
I'm guessing everyone here probably does their winterizing a little different!

If you are parked on grass, I think that I would put something under the tires to get them off the ground. I have a crushed stone parking area next to the garage for the fiver, and I don't put anything under the tires. Haven't had a problem in eight winters. I had a travel trailer that I covered with a tarp one winter. The wind rubbed the paint off the trailer in several places by blowing the tarp back and forth. I don't cover any more! If you do, buy one of the better covers that are offered in Camping World, etc.

I've never taken the wheels off or even helped take the weight off of it, I try to keep tire dressing on the tires (year round) to minimize checking but winterizing for me is just drain the water out and put the pink stuff in.
I'd be awful careful covering it just because it may rub the paint off with the cover hitting the finish, without getting a good cover I'd say you'd be doing more bad than good covering it.
