Toyo Open Country H/T in 285 for a 17" wheel discontinued?

My Nitto Durra Grapplers have almost 35,000 miles and I'm planning to replace them soon. I had good luck with them, but thought I might give Toyos a try this time. I'm an not interested in an off road or all terrain tire, I am only interested in a highway tread. I tow a heavy 5th wheel trailer and want the highest weight capacity tire I can fit on the stock rims.

This Toyo website does not mention the Open Country H/T in 285s for 17" wheels (only 16"). http://toyotires.com/tire/pattern/op...y-ht-tuff-duty

I called the local Toyo dealer & he couldn't find 17" 285 H/Ts either, but this ebay auction implies that they were once available:

Have they been discontinued? If so, and even if I could get a set, I feel it's not wise for me to buy tires that are hard to find in the event I want a matching replacement. Unless I can get to the bottom of this, It'll be another set of Nittos for me.

The 285 Toyo HT is not the Tuff Duty version. It's the standard OC HT LT285/70/17 121 product code 362940. http://toyotires.com/tire/pattern/open-country-ht

Do you know if that's rated for 3750lbs?

Never mind, I just looked it up. It's only rated for 3195lbs. Same as the stock Michelins the truck came with. Not good enough. Ok, more Nittos for me.

Besides the Nitto Dura Grapplers, are there any tires with a highway tread that are rated for 3750 lbs or more and will fit on a stock 17" wheel?

I think the Dura is about it for a highway tire in that size and rating.

Yes, but as MikeyB stated above, "not the Tuff Duty version". That's what I would need since I need maximum weight capacity. 3195 lbs per tire doesn't get me there. Thanks anyway.
