I know this has been covered somewhere a million times but I guess I need to ask again. My 06 is stock except 295 tires & a 65hp Quad towing box. When I pull say a 10,000 lb trailer, should I go back to stock? I`d like to hear from people who have done it awhile. Any problems with auto tran? Thanks for any real experience. This is my work truck not a drag racer.

I leave my XZT set to the 45hp setting all the time including pulling our 10k 5th wheel. I have made several trips pulling it on the 65hp setting without any problems but seem to get better fuel economy on the 45hp setting.

Thanks I don`t have any gauges, & don`t plan any so I`ve been worried about my auto trans. The truck seems to pull with no problems but I wondered if I was over doing it. This is my first Dodge but from what others say the extra 65hp shouldn`t hurt the engine.(?) Thanks again.

Just keep the revs over 2000 while pulling hard!
