Question Towing with Van Aaken

Has anyone had any experience towing with the
Van Aaken box. I have added one to my truck, but
haven't towed yet. Any issues with EGT's or advanced
timing "hammer / engine noise" ?

any 2nd generation people out there
with the Van Aaken. I was going to get the
DDTTPM but changed at the last minute. Van Aaken
seems to have been around a long time , but I don't
hear about many people using them. I hope I didn't
make a mistake.

I've had an original VA on my 24v since they first came out. It recently bit the dust and I replaced it with an EZ. Both tow the same, excellent. Even with 275's I have no problem with EGT's (1150) and boost caps at about 32 psi. This pulling at a combines weight of about 23k.

When the VA went bad, it took one time hooked to the horse trailer, 7k vs Dyno at 15k, to tell me I would need another one before I hooked to the dyno. Big difference in low end with the VA/EZ. You'll like it.

And my original VA went for 190k miles. Not bad in my book.

I've also had a Van Aaken on mine for 4+years(never removed it) 175k tons of towing,19000lbs total, tows excellent. I tow in O.D. all the time and tons of torque left for passing and hills(maintains same speed in 3rd going up hills), even with stock injectors, auto. trans., and 3.54 axle. Bottom and midrange power also greatly improved, with or without 30ft.TT with slide. Towing mileage usually 13-15 depending on how much passing and speeding I do. You won't be dissapointed with it, but it would be nice if you were able to adjust inside cab as needed,(why I leave VA on all the time).
