Towing for FEMA

Any of you guys (or girls) tow any RV's to Louisiana or Southern Mississippi for disaster relief? I made two trips from Grand Rapids, 1 to Baton Rouge and 1 to Purvis, MS. About 4500 miles total. It was fun and I felt good about having a part in helping those folks.

I haven't gone yet, but I offered to go get my wife's friends stuff from Slidell if she wanted to come move in with us. She decided to stay there and I'm still here....

DPG I hope you got paid well because FEMA pays well for this . It's been discussed at hotshottrucking.com . It's admirable for people to donate their services but if you do it for free somebody is getting paid and pocketing your share . Carriers delivering for manufacturers only pay about $1.05 one way . Drivers contracted directly to FEMA get $2.50 both ways .

You can call local RV dealers directly or go to hotshothaulers.com and contact blue3500 . He has already been in contact with FEMA
