Timbren Installation

My son had Timbrens installed on his 03 today. They are sitting right against the axle without a load. the instructions on line say to have a one inch space. They say to take out the "spacer" if they are touching. However, I don't see any spacer. I do see a mounting bracket at the top of the Timbren, but I wouldn't consider that a spacer, unless they came with another mounting bracket, and the mechanic used the wrong one??

I have the same problem. mine sits right on the axle. I double checked the Part #'s and everything.
The spacer that came with the set looks just like a hockey puck with a hole. If thats not on there, then it is removed and you will have to contact timbrens for a smaller set.

Its a alot rougher ride, but I am about to tow from Memphis to Seattle and will keep them on for that, then take them off until i have to Tow again. I dont tow all that often so taking the 20 mins to throw them on and pull them off isnt much of a problem with me.

I think the mechanic must have installed them with the rubber spacer in. So far my son likes the ride, so I think we'll leave it. The timbren will start to work as soon as he loads his camper this way. It's only 1400lbs. dry, so maybe this will work well? Comments?
