Tandem or triple axle??

I thought this thread was interesting. One thing nobody seems to mention the 3 axel single tire trailer can have a deck height about 12 to 16 inches lower most of the time and still have a wide enough deck to haul most equipment. however a tandem dual trailer generaly has a completely flat deck so you can load pallets on from the side much easier. As far as 3-axels having more braking power mabe, but usualy the tandem dual axels have a much bigger brake drum inside that deep dished wheel, and bigger brakes are usualy better than more brakes. If the deck has to be flat across the top of the axels then my vote is for the tandem dual. With the built in saftey of a spare tire incase of a flat and just look around at real trucking. 99% of full size flat beds a tandem dual or 3-axel dual tire.
