On the road...

again! We are headed out tomorow for Oregon and Washington to visit kids. This will give me a chance to try out the E Brake and watch the EGT's. It's always good to go RVing out of town!

Rock Springs, what part of Wyoming is that?

Been 1.5 years since I've been to Wyoming (Big Horn Mountains).

Call this a small world, never heard of Rocky Springs Wyoming until last night when I bought some wheels for the wifes little Tracker off Ebay and that's where they are being shipped from. If you really wanted to be a buddy you could swing by and pick em up for me and bring em on over to Illinois to save me the postage.

update

So far...so good! We spent last friday, saturday and sunday in Grants Pass, Oregon. We hit just a little rain rain along the way...no snow and all roads open. We left Oregon monday and headed for Mt. St. Helens, Washington. We spent tuesday touring the Mt. St. Helens area. Wow! Very impressive. If you ever get the chance, etc., etc..

Wednesday (April 6) morning we set out for Kennewick, Washington where our son live and will spend thursday, friday, saturday and sunday visiting. On Monday (April 11) we are headed for, hmmm. haven't quite decided yet. We were going to go to Yellowstone but the park roads are all still closed till the 22nd. Maybe we'll head done to Bryce Canyon in Utah.

The truck is running great and I'm getting about 11-12 mpg. Exhaust brake works fantastic...especially going downhill. I like how I can leave it on all the time and it will engage and disengage as I accellerate and decellerate.

This is my first time towing since installing the EGT gauge. I'm surprised at how easy it is to hit 1000 degrees! It (the gage) sure makes me rethink my driving style. I find that now I'm shifting into the next lowest gear sooner than I used to in order to keep the EGT"s down.

Later! Buzz

Sorry, I got delayed leaving Eugene. I'm now leaving this Sunday.(I hope!) Do you still need them to be picked up? We're going to be in Rock Springs for approx a 10 days and then we're heading to the U.P. of MI. Let me know.

I was just being a smart a** here. It is nice of ya to offer, always good to know you got help when you need it. I hope the rims are just about here by now. I hope to be on my way to Oklahoma next weekend to pickup a 35' flatbed trailer. Gotta luv Ebay. Got what I hope was a great deal on both items. Only a little over $100.00 for a set of aluminum rims and $2200 for a gooseneck with 3 7000# axles under it.

No problem. $2200 for that trailer is a good deal. I hope I manage to find something like that when I finally buy.

I managed to go see the Pacific Ocean. 1st time for me.

I climbed this sand dune to get to the water. I thought I was having a heart attack by the time I got to the top. That's the company Cummins at the bottom.

Just got in. Nothing like snow in April.

Just a recommendation, If you get the chance drive Route 30 from Green River, WY to I-15 in Idaho. Really gorgeous scenery and a pleasant drive.

You should stay until May, it can really dump it then. It has stuck to the ground on July 4th too!
