A friend mentioned seeing a tire with a shock suspension that mounted in the reciever of a truck. It was designed so that you put your normal 2" hitch in the back of it to pull a bumper pull trailer. Keeps the rear of the truck from squatting. He doesn't remember where he saw it. Anyone heard of or seen something like this?

You have to be kidding me right look at that set up I am seeing problems having the tough of the trail hitting either the single tire or worse in the dually contraption if you have to buy any one of those do your self and get air bags or a bigger truck and stop trying to pull you 5th wheel trailer with a half ton or s10

If I am going down I 5 and see a rig with that contraption I will pull over and get out of his way thats about as bad as the deal were you get to put a mini trailer thats a bumper pull with a 5th wheel plate so your bumper pull can now "safely tow big 5th wheel"

Man thats ugly and painted yellow so it stands out and everyone notices.

Just use an equalizer hitch and be done with it. Probably not as costly either.

For $600 it doesn't increase towing cap and limits you to 65mph. It does look funny though. It has the appearance that it'll allow a vehicle to be overloaded safely, which is probably the most dangerous thing about it.

The only usefull thing I can see in it is if you have a large slide in camper(10ft+). The overhang often interfers with towing a trailer, trailer will hit camper when turning. With this it would move the ball back about a foot or so and give more turning room. I can not see how it would increase your hauling capacity though.

I've seen these before. Typically used on a very long boat trailer where there wasn't a provision for equalizer bar connections (due to narrowness of toungue point at the coupler).

Special applications require special equipment.

Yep, still 1/2ton brakes under there....... doesn't even have the benefit of trailer brakes.

Wow... That guy is a genius!!! Not only did he overload his truck/tires/springs/brakes but he shows us how retarded he is by not securing it and then putting training wheels on it so he won't tip it over!
I wonder if they come with hand brakes like a bicycle grip that you install on the streering wheel...
Spend the $600 on a used tandem trailer and a couple of rachet straps....

I wonder if that would help make a truck ride better over the expansion strips. But it seems like it would overstress the hitch and really be overloaded going through dips.

This could be very handy........If where ever you were going was a striaght shot, because the tounge of a trailer is going to snag on one of those wheels...

Im gunna use the $600 dollars I saved by not buying this product and buy a SMARTY!!!!!!!!

The only thing that contraption does is allow some nut job to finally tow that 40 ft fiver with his Ford Ranger pickup!!!

As the picture shows, "Who cares! overload the truck, I can fix the problem by transferring all the weight on a set of wheelbarrow tires and we are good to go."

I knew I didn't need the payload package, the tow package,the camper package,the air bags and the "E" rated tires!!! I would have saved a ton of cash and bought a Ford Pinto to tow my junk!!

I'm going to sit down now.
