Take a peak at this thread, then smile and pat your little ole Dodge the next time you get in it as you tow your 15,000 pounds down the road. OWWCH OUCH UUUUUCCCHHHH. And how much did that truck cost????

Can you imaging having to move to 4.30 gearing in order to get 10,000 pounds moving? Wow. Many times I take off in 2nd with my 16,000 pounds on if it is slightly downhill and I am not in a hurry.

Wow, I know all the makes have their "issues", but man that is nuts. Scary part, there is more than 1 person saying he has the stalling "feature". I hope for the owners' sake, Ford figures it out. Don't care what the label says, if you are paying 40+ large for a truck, it shouldn't do that. What really stinks is it sounds like the dealerships have to give them excuses because they are waiting for Corporate Ford to figure it out and flow the answer down to them. Stinks for the techs/dealerships too, they get a bad rap because they can't fix what sounds like a design flaw from the engineering department.

He doesn't need something to brake him - - he just needs to get it going. If he finally gets it going, then he doesn't need some brake smarts, he needs a Smart Jordan.
Now, that just made my day. DumDeeDum.
mumble mumble Need more to deal with these Smart alecs from the northland whose brains are frozen. more

North here...
Bobbylackingbrakesmart he needs a different brake controller like a Brakesmart because its locking up the trailer. Brakes are all confused and skeered because it knows the big boy Brakesmart will be superior.
Taking the parking brake off, getting a better brake controller and going downhill will help.
eh

Some one should have been there with there newer cummins and 6 speed and hooked to him and the trailer and let the cluch out at idle in 2nd gear to make him feel real good. I would hate to have been the service rep at his furd dealer if someone had done that. He would have been balistic.

I heard someone around here say he'd rather have a Dodge with a Hemi than a Ford with a Powerstroke. Oh wait! That was me.
We tow 10,040 lbs every time we take the 5th wheel out. Pretty steep incline leaving our favorite campground. Not a problem.

If I read it right one guy said he has a V 10 with 4:88 gears. That is something you would put in a 1/4 mile truck. He can't have much for top end even in overdrive. If I spent 40K for that problem I'd be in kill mode at Ford

And he probably gets at least 6 MPG.
