Planning trip from IN to PA

In a few weeks my wife and I are going to Carlisle, PA for the all Chrysler car show. We will be hauling our GTX in my 22' v-nose. Anyone familiar with interstate 70 from Ohio to PA? On the map it looks very twisty. Just wondering if it has very steep hills.
It should be about a 9-10 hour trip. Any good scenic places to stop for a short rest?

Once you get into Pa. 70 is not to bad. It seems to get narrrow and not very smooth the last time I was on it. Tolls on the Pa turnpike will burn a hole in your pocket and you will hit alot of road work.

Bring some CD's. I found reception in/out on some of the twisty's. Otherwise its not a bad ride at all. I'll be out that way next week myself....

Thanks for the info. I think I'll take 30 across Ohio and take 71 to pick up the Pa turnpike. So the turnpike has a lot of construction?

The only construction I can recall on the TP was Westbound between the Fort Littleton & Breezwood exits. It wasnt really an issue- All the Smokies that always seem to hang right there were causing more of a slowdown. There was the usual at the Harrisburg bridge, but the new span is open Westbound and other than the usual folks afraid of the jersey barriers..it was flowing okay.

There is only one hill on your way and that's around Breezewood,it is a nice ride. Just take 70 to interstate 81 north that's the easy way and no tolls you get on 81 at Hagerstown MD. I live like 15 miles from Carlisle, have a safe and nice trip.

I-70 has a TON of construction on it right now. I don't really go anywhere else on it, but basically from Springfield to Columbus is nothing but construction. The area near the I70/75 cross is very construction heavy too. Actually, if I remember right, Dayton to around I675 (I think thats what it is) is nothing but orange barrels, too.
