Can I guess? Since he's from NC, would Civil War Reenaactor be the correct answer?

If not, he's had trouble with a neighbors dog?

The neighbors did ask "what you going to do with that" and I said anything I wanted.

This may help you out. http://www.N-SSA.ORG

The North-South Skirmish Association
NO we are not reenactors we do all live fire.
We are in the uniforms and do look somewhat like a reenactor but that stops at the uniform.
the little one is a 3/4 scale 3" Ordinance Rifle. We are shooting 2.24" round ball loads (Zinc). The big one is an Ames gun (about 3.67")
If it is still correct we shoot at the only place in the world you can see 800-1000 people shoot live fire CW guns.
Let me know if you want more info or want to come see us shoot some time.
Its a blast being on the line with 60-80 mortars going off at one time or about 16-20 cannons.
The mortars shoot anywhere between 12 pound to 50 pound ***** ours, as is most, are 12 pound 4.5 inch mortar *****.

Caddo Lake State Park, Texas on Memorial Day Weekend 06. Beautiful campground and great place to go canoeing. That is the only natural lake in Texas as all the others are man made reservoirs. Neet swamps, cypress trees with moss etc.
