People need to use more caution when towing...
Watching the news tonight.... Pickup pulling a trailer on I-70. Trailer came loose, wasnt chained and went across the median strking 2 cars head on. 1 fatality so far.... That's what chains and brake away controls are for...

yea, when I tow my excavator it's just routine to inspect and make sure everythings secure. Can't afford to get lazy and not hook those breakaway chains up. It's also easy to speed with this cummins towing the wieght I do, so i just stick right at the speed limit even though people seem to be in a hury no matter what time and they ride right up on u, thats usually when I dump a cloud of smoke, but the trailer gets in the way of that, lol.

That wreck on I-70 the guy had a either lawnmower or 4 wheeler on a small utility trailor so he can not say that is was too big to do a walk around to inspect tie downs. They were 400 lb nylon tir downs like you get at walmart.
