Pacbrake Airbag Conroller Installed

Pacbrake Airbag Conroller Installed
As I was searching the site for suggestions on where to install my gauge and switches for my airbag controller I kept coming up with threads asking where to mount it. So I thought I would post how I mounted mine.
First, I already had the Pacbrake PRXB installed in my pickup so I already have onboard air. I also didn't show the install of the airbags as they are pretty straight forward and the destructions are pretty clear.
I did replace all the fittings with Pres-Loc fittings that we use at work.
I then attached the airlines to the airbags using Pres-Loc "T's" in order to leave my Schrader valves in case I ever lose the compressor I can still air up manually.
This is where I mounted my Schrader Valves.
I decided to mount mine using a cubby hole gauge pod from Geno's to mount my gauge and switch. The pain is this pod mounts using 2 "C" brackets and the studs and nuts coming off of the back of the gauges to hold it in the dash so I had to drill 4 holes and mount it using some cap screws and brackets I made out of some picture hangers. (sorry this photo turned out a little grainy)
I ordered 2 of the gauge blanks at the same time. I cut these out with a dremel to accommodate the switches.
I know every one struggles with running air lines into the cab but it really doesn't bother me. It wasn't terribly difficult either. I used the dimmable power wire going into the climate control (orange wire w/white tracer in my 05) for my gauge lighting so now it dims with the rest of the gauges.
Before installation:
I found a silver bezel at a local pick and pull that I thought would dress things up a bit. here's after:
I think it turned out pretty nice. The only thing I would do over is install another 12V outlet in the blank opposite the existing one while I had it apart. Oh well, maybe later.
Also, the light on the gauge from Pacbrake is bright white so I need to either find a green cover for the bulb or change the bulb itself to a green one.
All in all I really like they way it turned out and since it is not a gauge you need to monitor it is not a big deal to have it mounted that low.

Nice job I know what a pain that job would be, when I installed the Pacs on my 2001 I tried to find somewhere to install the gauge and control but gave up and returned the control opting to go with the airlift wireless control however I sold the truck shortly after and didn't manage to get the wireless controller installed.

Thanks Busboy! I did look into the wireless set up but I got such a good deal on this one I couldn't justify the extra expense. I do love the ability to adjust the bags with the push of a button rather than having to mess with a tire gauge and compressor.
