Norcold heating element

Norcold heating element
i need to replace the heating element in my norcold fridge on my 5er, but i guess in order to get the right heating element, i need the cooling element serial number so they match up. the problem i have is that i dont have the cooling element, there is a spot for it but there wasnt one in there. the fridge worked fine when i purchased the camper (without the cooling element), but now that the heating element is bad, it keeps poping fuses.
so my question is, am i ok to just purchase the new heating element and run that like it has been, or should i have both the heating and cooling elements?
the fridge is a norcold model 6182

Give these guys a call. If they can't get it, you don't need it.

well thanks for the reply's folks, but i mis-typed. i read the parts list wrong(it lists and cooling element that goes right next to the heating element for 12v power) found the part i need at a local campground, picking it up tomorrow and hopefully it goes in easier than i came out.
but another question, is it ok to put some sort of lubrication on the heating element to help it slide in easier? my was so gunked up it took me the better part of an hour with a set of vice grips to get it out!
