As to the leak, you might want to check for rot on the inside in the area. If it's there, then you'll need to replace stuff. What I've used on my roof from time to time (I have a rubberized roof) is a self-levelling sealant - available at most RV shops.

Wiring? Assuming your truck has the factory wiring harness, I found the best way was to tie into the harness at the rear (solder the wires) then run the cable up to the front of the box and mount it on ahead of the wheel well.- you can get a female plug at RV shops. I'm assuming that the power to the camper, lights, etc. is near the front of the unit.

tie downs ? Torklift is the way to go.

Have fun - these are great units - can go anywhere and have all the features of the larger units.
