Moving hitch pin

Moving hitch pin
I need to move my hitch pin up 1 inch to get to level. While trying to do this I discovered that according to the 1621 hitch plate decal I could not use the available holes, they didn't match the available bolt pattern. Has anyone had this problem? What did you do. Can I drill a new hole to get the match. See picture for clarity.

The way my hitch is set up I can move the hitch head and the pin box to give me 1/2" adjustments. The box has 1" adjustments and the head has 1-1/2" adjustments. I would have to drop the box 1 hole and drop the head 1 hole which would give me a net change of 1/2". Yours should be set up some what similar (I think).

I have a Pullrite hitch wich allows for no up and down adjustment . This leaves me with just the ability to move the pin. As you can see in the photo there is not a hole in the area to move pin up to the next notch. I did call tech support at Keystone and they said I could drill that area without causing any structual damage. When I asked why there wasn't a hole there anyway they didn't have an answer. Kinda wierd.
