Looking to build a gooseneck hauler...any tips?
I'm in the market for a gooseneck trailer, but don't have the funds to purchase one. So, I'm planning on building a trailer, or possibly finding a travel trailer or stock trailer and stripping it down and using the frame/axles, and building off that. It needs to be a low-deck design and about 20' long, and I might even make it a tilt deck. It will be used to haul old cars around and thats about it.
My question is...where can I buy the tongue/hitch section?
Anyone else built a homemade Gooseneck?

all you need to buy is the adjustable coupler, you'll make the actual gooseneck and weld either the full pipe piece with coupler attached or just the coupler and weld to your own pipe. see if Redneck Trailer has a web-site they have all you need from hitches to axles and even blueprints.
