Brett, it's about time you made that truck earn it's keep a little...
Did you stop and weigh it on some scales on the way? I'd be curious to how much weight that would translate to on the rear axle of the truck. Your truck doesn't even look like it is squatting any....NONE.
Air bags?

Well none of my loads come even close to most of yours but here they are anyway. Before we got the 01 diesel we towed everything with our 1958 Studebaker 4x4. The engine is a factory Studebaker 289ci with some upgrades like a rajay turobcharger and water injection. It towed pretty good but doesn't even compare to the cummins. The most we towed with it was 7,000lbs of gravel on our gooseneck with our tractor weighing at 1,800lbs. The trailer weighs 3,500lbs and the truck weighs 5,000lbs. We grossed at 17,300lbs. Not too bad for an engine that was produced almost 50 years ago. That trip was only 20 miles. We regulary towed our Jeep (in pic) which loaded with all our gear is about 5,000lbs. That was a 150 mile trip.
The most we have pulled with the 01 is a CAT 248B skidsteer which weighs close to 8,000lbs on a tandem axle, dually gooseneck weighing 5,300lbs. Gross trailer was around 13,000lbs and plus whatever the truck is. That was before the edge, brake and other mods. It pulled just fine, started out in 2nd most of the time except for some hills. We also pulled the same setup with my buddies 06 durasmack and the cummins got moving quicker.
Here's a couple pics. I don't have any pics of the tandem gooseneck or the gravel.

Pulled my buddies 48' Haulmark gooseneck race trailer (enclosed) loaded with two cars and equipment roughly 600 mile round trip a few times this summer. GCVW of about 26k. Pulled like a dream though I had to watch the go pedal on hills with the Smarty set on SW#5, clutch would not take it.
Without bags that trailer would really make the rear of my truck squat onto the overloads. Felt bad for the oncoming traffic at night.
Sorry no pics

I would venture to guess that when you go camping you use less fuel by loading the rv on the trailer and pulling it where you want to go..... those things are TERRIBLE gas guzzlers.... (4-5 mpg comes to mind)
