I only loaded it with 32 once, (Just for some ferd guys). and only went 3-4 miles on back roads. I haul 22 bales most the time. Without the DD clutch I don't think I could have got it rolling. (those ferd guys call me sir now)

That was me (the one who remembered the load). I'd be surprised if that record has been matched or broken........

I still feel bad for that guy. I called him everything but a liar because he had no pictures to prove the load. Two days later he posted those pictures and I promtly inserted my foot into my mouth. He still reigns King in my book

I know I have pix somewhere around here as I took them in front of the house...do the math...
17,000 kilograms of strongman gear on two trailers 72 ft total length, behind a 3500 that weighed in at 8200 pounds loaded with fuel.
I never got an accurate weight on the trailers but was told the dually tandem was in the 6K lb range and the tag with dual 7K axles was pushing 2800 pounds.
Hauled that load over 500 miles in December of 2005. -28C.
I also have the unique claim to be the only Ram 3500 Diesel to DRIVE through the West Edmonton Mall while it was open, to the Ice Palace in the center of the mall. What a trip.

The steel building move is and always will be the best haul ever. That would be one hell of a load for even for some OTR trucks.

Had an 01 2wd crew cab and pulled a 35 ft gooseneck trailer with 18-20 k pounds of dirt and then parked a big ford tractor on top of the dirt. Im thinking anywhere from 38-40k pounds total. we would have made it home if the right rear duals on the trailer hadnt blown out. WAY TO MUCH WEIGHT! But the old dodge never missed a beat.

I work at a scrap yard and we have a customer who runs three CTD. All are 2006 1 tons he comes in about once a week with all three loaded usually between 40 and 45,000 on each truck. He has nearly 100,000 miles on each rig. Mine should last awhile pulling a ski boat dont ya think.

Nice!

NICE! How do you like those Tex Nex trailers? Uncle has a 30 footer in Arkansas. Hauls 12 ton + of stone on pallats long distances on it. No problems.

Do you haul logs often? Where do you take them?

i was helping a buddy out today...really needed some good pulls to get the GN broke in so i can torque everything down fri. he loves the trailer. its easy to pull, but pretty heavy. he uses it for hauling his case 580 or 450 in addition to logs. almost always hooked to his truck. we were taking the pine to splendora and the hard wood to cleveland
