Good point...
Holy Cow, Scott!
That looks very dangerous!!!
You obviously need traction bars, airbags and trackbar bushings...

XLR8R----I was hoping Santa would bring me some of those traction bars of which you mention! Hopefully, he has already contacted you to get on that order!
Now, if he can just fit them in his Bag of toys.....and decide not to take them himself and put'em on his sleigh!

Hey TexasCTD, That was an impressive load, If I were you though I'd upgrade that trailer to tandem duals! I agree with XLR8R, you need some bags and bars! Don't worry your not the only one around here who "needs" some of those special bars! He has given me the sales pitch, unfortunately I believed it! Now I just need some money! Hope he stays in business long ennough!

That's not my trailer. The Tractor and Trailer both belong to my Brother-in-law who was "afraid" to pull it with his 6.0 NO Powerjoke! It was a one time load for their move to Missouri and will probably never be towed again loaded that heavy. I agree tandem duals on the trailer would have been the way to go. I tried to talk him into duals when he bought that Gooseneck...but oh well. I tried to talk him into getting a Cummins too...but he wouldn't listen. Like I said....he will probably never need the trailer to haul that much load again anyway.......or certainly not as far.
I do need air bags.....but not because of that load. I need them for my VERY front heavy Weekend Warrior Travel Trailer Toyhauler. It pulls my rear down more than the tractor/gooseneck did....just because of the leverage on the rear receiver/rear of the springs. That is why I upgraded the receiver hitch to a Putnam XDR. That thing is insanely heavy on tongue weight. But the Cummins just purrs.

my buddy does land clearing and dirt work on the side and i was helping him out today. he has an 05 3500 and routinely hauls 10 tons of pine. his dozer is about 8 tons and the back hoe is also 10 tons. we went across the scales at the saw mill and weighted in at 37k. the other day he was at 42k. his truck is stock and doesnt have any problem pulling it at highway speed. im going to put mine thru the ringer fri and will take some pics.

I hauled six 2000#+ hereford bulls in a 20' Corn Pro stock trailer about 50 miles with my 95 3/4 ton with no problems. I think the trailer weighs about 5K so probably about 17K total. I have air bags and would recommend getting some if you dont have any and also dual rear wheels are the way to go but i'm stuck with my 2500 now.

i have a 20' long, 20,000 lb gooseneck with tandem duallys and a hydrailic dump bed. it weighs in around 7000 lbs. i hualed a load of 400 16' oak boards (they weigh around 50 lbs each) and 100 4x6x8 oak posts (they weigh aeound 100 lbs each) they were wet and had the truck quating enough that i could reach into the bed with no problem. i must have weighed more than 35000 lbs. My truck hualed it fine. i left alot of room between me and the cars in front due to the brakes being a bit spongy. and i only drove a max of 55 mph on the interstate. in total it was about a 50 mile trip home. havent had it loaded up like that since, but know what the truck and trailer can handle.
