Question Largest goose neck (loaded) ????????

What is the largest load you have ever towed on a goose neck behind your CTD? Please describe your trailer and the cargo, and how far you traveled. Thank you!

PS. I want to know, even if you were over legal GVW. My lips are sealed!
And yes I will accept stories about, regular hitches, pintle/tag-a-long, and fifth wheel.

I have a 28 ft gooseneck that I use in my business, my normal load includes a New Holland skid steer and a A300 Bobcat which scales at about 18000 GVW my gooseneck is rated for 21000 GVW....I helped a buddy last week move his S300 Bobcat plus my A300 Bobcat to a job site and I scaled at 23100 with both bobcats on my trailer my CTD pulled everything just fine until I hit a steep upgrade then my truck had to work i started out at 55 mph and by the time I hit the top of the hill I was down to 25 mph

There was a guy here a few years back that hauled a steel building, if I remember correctly it was over 40K lbs. (with pictures).

I haven't been over my gvw.......... yet.

Well, the GCWR for my truck is ridiculously low.

truck = 7500 lbs
GN = 4400 lbs
normal load on GN = 6500 lbs rated to carry 10,000 lbs)

Add all of these up and you get 18,400 lbs, but the gcwr for my 97 dually is 18,000 lbs.......so yeah, I've been over the DODGE limit, but not over the real life limit.

I've hauled 22 large round bales several times on a 36 foot triple axle with brakes on each axle gooseneck but most of the time I haul 16 or so on it. And I hauled a John Deere 555G loader home one day when the guys dump truck broke. It was on a pintle hitch trailer but I only had to haul it about 5 miles to his house.

I scaled a gross wieght of 29,540 with the 04'. Had 400 gallon steel tank(full of waste oils) in the bed along with pressure washer, air compressor, generator, chain saws. Behind me a 20' 14k PJ pintle that had 13,600lbs of wood and a bob963 on it. Had to tow it about 600 miles. Air bags @100psi and she still was saggin alot. With the 22.5's I had to keep it in 5th gear wich was 60mph@2,000. Any faster was too fast. I wish I had a gooseneck for that load

I have an 07 6.7 with power pup and a 30 ft gator gooseneck trailer. I have hauled 3 loads of large square baled hay about 500 miles from ohio to souther ky. Each load was right around 13 tons of hay. The truck and trailer combined weight was 43,800 and the one load that we scaled. The only bad thing about the whole deal was we were only getting about 7 mpg.

Here's the winner some of you were referring to...
I used to live in Palmer, AK and have driven the Alcan a couple times....never with a load like this though.

I have a 50 ft gooseneck weighing in at 7000 pounds. My truck with full of fuel is 8000 pounds. I transported 2 2008 f550 and f350 crew cab duallys with utility beds weighing around 12k each I was told. I DIDNT HIT THE SCALES OBVIOUSLY.

That would be a gvcwr of 39,000 pounds. If the trucks weigh in at 12k each. My trailer has a 20k gvwr. I traveled 1100 miles!!! Got 7 mpg. Had to keep truck at 2400 rpms going up hill not to slow traffic down. If I hit hill under that rpms, it was all over!!!!! lol Got paid good though

My heaviest load was from North Texas to SW Missouri, probably about 350 miles. Truck weighs a little over 8000lbs. The gooseneck probably weighed in around 3500lbs and the John Deere Tractor was around 15,000lbs with water in the rear tires.

I stopped at some CAT Scales on the way......and it totaled 26,380lbs gross.

5020 front axle, 6200 rear axle, and 15,160 on the trailer axles. It was a little overweight, but the truck pulled it great. Smarty still on level 9. Stock auto trans. EGTs hovered around 900 degrees on the flats and probably 1300 on some of the steeper hills.
