Jordan problem...
Just got my Jordan installed last night.... and...
The amp meter never goes out.
The green continuity light comes on when it's plugged in, and everything works fine, but it will never turn off.
It goes down to .3 amps and won't turn off. If I press the button, it goes up to 14.3, then if I release, it comes back down to .3, but will never go out.
If I PUSH and wiggle the cable in the back, it will sometimes go out, but as soon as I let go, it comes back on.
I called Jordan, he was very helpful, but thinks it is likely something wrong...
Before I send it back (across the border, I'm in Canada), anyone have any far out things I could try?
Thanks

It sounds like (1.) you may have a little pre-tension in the control cable or (2.) your gain setting is too high. The instructions that came with my Jordan said to start with a gain setting of 7.0 amps with the manual button fully depressed and work from there. I'd try adjusting that first and see what happens. If that doesn't eliminate it, back off on the control cable pre-tension at the cable clamp on the brake arm. If it's still a "sometimes it does/sometimes it doesn't" situation, your cable routing might have the cable binding slightly on the cable housing (or outer sheath). I wound up mounting my Jordan at the lower edge of the dash right in front of the brake pedal which gave the cable a straight run from the back of the Jordan to the brake pedal arm. I eliminated the control cable sheath about 1" from the Jordan - no drag allowed!!

If I "push" it in, the light will go out, otherwise, it stays on all the time, with no tension.
Thanks for the reply.

If it's sticking at .3 tap it firmly on the bottom of the unit. If it "clicks" and goes out then the return assy inside is sticking. It may be one of the older pre '04 build units (old stock) and if so it needs an updated return assy. Mine did this. I e-mailed Jordan about it and he said send it in right away. I fed-x'd it to him and he repaired it and sent it back UPS Blue no questions asked. How's that for customer service on a product that was over a year old and heavily used! I can't say enough about Jordan or his product. First class all the way.

An update FYI...
I never sent it back.
Got busy doing other things, but drove the truck for a couple days with the controller. Within a day, the amp light started going off as it should, and since then it's worked like a charm.
From the looks of it, whatever was binding it up, worked itself out, and it's now fine.

It just needed breaking in. Lucky it is not a BrakeSmart - - it would probably be broken by now.
