Jordan brake controller

I am not sure how the jordan brake controllers work as my company does not stock them (mainly install Drawtite brake controllers). However, pretty much any brake controller on the market gets it initial signal from the brake switch, not pedal position.
Some use an inertia switch to determine how much voltage to send to the brakes after that. Others, like the drawtite, are completely electronical and have diffrent settings to determin how fast and hard the brakes grab.

Weg, the jordan works off of brake pedal position(via cable from controler to pedal) and brake-smart works off the brake line pressure. As for Jordan working w/ adjustable pedals, I was wondering the same thing.

I hope you have better luck with you Jordan than I do. I know alot of people on here luv em, so I must have just got a bad one. For me it was a pain to and get it place in a good position so the cable was straight enough. Got that done then had a buggar of a time getting it adjusted to the pedal travel, has to be set at the right hieght on the pedal so that the cable pulls no more than 2". Got that set then on the first trip with it the cable broke off at the pedal. Then I had to re-do the whole thing again to accomidate a shorter cable. Only reason it's still there is I spent to much money on it to throw it away. Soon as I feel like I got some use out of it I'm going back to the Prodigy, a little stickier with a light weight trailer but I don't see any difference when you get up over a few thousand pounds. Befor I get yelled at here for slamming the Jordan, I know it's a good product, I just didn't have very good luck with it.

There is a collar that goes around the servo that the cable attaches to. In fact, Jordan took the measurements off my truck to have the collar made. The servo does not move when the pedals are adjusted, so the cable position remains a constant. It is completely out of your way when installed and works great. Installation should be a cinch - - sorry about your problems, Cummins. It took me about 5 extra minutes to make the cable installation and then I tweaked the length and the position of activation over the next several usages of the trailer. I love the action of it - - I make the trailer brakes work just like my truck brakes - - not some electrical contrapation deciding how much brake I want applied. It does not jerk at slow speeds and the trailer brakes apply exactly as I apply the truck brakes.

I do like the concept I think it just needed a heavier cable and maybe some kind of hanger to hook the cable to when you diconnect from the pedal. Excuse the terminology here, but it was the little contraption that looks like a cigarette lighter w/a spring in it and has the screw to set the length of the cable is where mine broke at. When I put it tight enough to keep the cable from slipping it kinked it and made a weak point that didn't take long to snap. When I tried it looser it just slipped on me. To many people use it and like it for me to call it a bad product I just had no luck with it. But, that's my luck.
