Sorry about that. You may be fine, but ST tires are specifically engineered and constructed for trailers. LT tires aren't. I'm a stubborn knucklehead, but I got tired of all the problems and finally switched to ST. They have worked perfect on all my trailers for years now.

I believe you. But I was hearing the exact opposite in my thread. Everybody got tired of the ST tires and said to go LT...to eliminate any more problems. Guess it's one of those things you just have to see what works for yourself.

I bought a new gooseneck trailer in Oklahoma a few years ago, and it had ST tires. On the sidewall, they had the name "Double Happiness" stamped in them. Me and my Dad got a good laugh out of that one. I hate to say it, but they were actually good tires. Never had a problem with them.

I want to add my 2 cents on tires though. I tow heavy and daily (scrap iron, old trucks, skid steer) and have bought several and I mean several sets of tires for my trailer through out the years. I got sucked in by the local trailer guy to run his 14 ply trailer tires and they where junk!! and a waste of money. I frequent country roads and every time I did I would have 2 - 5 nails, wires, ect. = flats the special trailer tires have more nylon than steel. Just to compare I have ran several sets of radial LT some up to 50,000+ thousand miles and never had them off for flats or anything as they have real steel belts .Sorry for the long rant and I know I will catch flake, but I have better things to do than mess with some flimsy tire made for a golf cart.

I am waiting on some 16'' rims to come in.....to put these tires on, on my Toyhauler. Discount tire guy says I will be set then.

I have the commercial grade BFGs but they are the more aggressive tread on my truck right now. One of them broke a belt with app. 10,000 miles on it. I still have 4 of them on the rear I,ll check my books and see how many miles I have on those. They are wearing decent, but I will find something different when they are shot. I have not ran those on my trailer I usually buy the cheapest 10 ply commercial radial I can find.
