How big a job is it to install rear sway bar?

I'm disabled and very limited on what I'm able to do. I have a slide in camper and live in West Virginia where there is a curve every 50 ft. it seems. I get just enough roll to make it a pain in the neck and I'd like to put an end to it. Any thoughts on what else if anything I need? 3/4 ton Dodge 4X4 short bed, 5sp, 3.55's. What would you guess a good sway bar would cost + install if I can't do it myself? Thanks guys, Varmint...

It is funny that this thread came at this time. I just took my sway bar off yesterday as I wanted to tame the truck down a little and I do not intend to have a camper or any high loads that would require the sway bar. It was not too bad to take off maybe an hour. mmine was a factory option and was 100% bolted on I would think that all trucks come from the factory with the holes in the frame and the shock brackets where you couldjust bolt one up. the hardest part about putting one on would be bolting the drivers side where the bolts go to the frame the gas tank and brake lines make it a tight area to work and I dont know if you can reach between the gas tank and over the frame to install the bolts. maybe a weld job there. If you p/m me I have the one I took off and don't plan to use it again. I don't know how to ship it though.

yes, the timing is funny!! i have a 97 long bed and it came without the factory ''camper package''. so, i put it on. all of the provisions were there to directly install - so, what i did was contacted a dodge junkyard in donegal pa. he sent me all parts necessary to install the kit ( my kit is actually off of a 1 ton-so i have two overload springs on each side). but it all went together great. there was a little labor involved- you have to put the truck up on jackstands, jack up the axle to keep tension up against the springs. you have to remove the leaf spring ubolts to install the longer ones(this was a pain in the a@#). install the upper rubber spring bumpers(this was a tight area that involved some extensive reaching). and, if memory serves , i had to remove the lower shock bolts to add sway bar mounts to it. like i said my pieces were off of a 1 ton dodge and it all bolted right up - if you are disabled, you might have a helper do all of this for you while you assist. my truck rides no rougher with the super spring capacity because they only come into play at a very heavy load -and with the rear antisway bar - i noticed an immediate difference in my ability to go around turns at speed! also, to make sure i was installing everything properly, i drove down to the local dodge dealer with my pen and paper and drew a pic of exactly how it was supposed to bolt up from looking at an '01
