Help - Trailer Brake Controller Connector

I cannot find the connector for the trailer brake. I have a Prodigy controller from my previous truck and I wanted to hook it up.

My truck came with a cable harness (P/N 56045797AB) which I soldered to the Prodigy harness. That was easy compared to finding the connector under the dash.

The Dodge harness came with instructions that state: "The mating blue connector is located under the instrument panel, left of the steering column, near the top of the large connector bracket".

I looked everywhere and couldn't find it. Is it covererd or hidden? Is it actually on the left (as viewed from the drivers seat) of the steering column?

Any help would be appreciated!

It's there although it is wrapped with tape and hard to see. I had to really look to find it on mine.

Miine was taped out of sight above a cluster of wires just to the left of the steering column. You just have to feel around fot it.

I just wired mine last week. It is a blue connector left of steering column. There was another large connector covering part of it. It is almost against the left kick panel on the firewall. Hope this helps.

I checked again and I still cannot locate the connector. I found a cluster of wires with a large connector located to the left of the steering column.

However, I can't find the trailer brake connector. Any other hints? I can't be that blind! It shouldn't be this difficult.

Look in the hardest to reach and be able to see area on the left kickpanel/firewall area! Thats where I found mine. I think differest people on different shifts at the factory put them wherever they want to! LOL I've found them everywhere. It's there, just might be tough to see.

Holy smokes! I finally found it thanks to the help you guys provided. The connector was not visable at all. In fact, I couldn't even feel it until I unwrapped tape.

Now I can use my Prodgy trailer brake controller.

Word of caution!!!! Mine was wired incorrectly between the coupler and the plug. My Harness was not tampered with or damaged so it must have been a fluke, but it happened. My truck was also used when I got it so anythings possible. Frank

I have a 07.5 with 6.7 and I can't find that FREAKING harness to save my life!! Maybe I'm not sure what I'm looking at. I do see a blue connector that's attached to the main harness block just left of the steering column, but that's the only thing that could remotely look like a harness would hook up at. I went to the Prodigy site and that was no help at all. HELP!!!! Thanks.
