Help: Towing a Chipper and it's all over the road.

Partner called this morning, he's on the way home. He tells me that he spoke to the seller, who recommended filling up the fuel tank on the chipper, since it is mounted forward, and would give the chipper more tongue weight. Partner said that helped also.

If the frame of the towed item is not level with the road, it will weave in spite of the tongue weight any side to side movement introduces steering angle. This is true whether the tongue is too high or too low.
This can frequently be a problem with 4 wheel drive vehicles or body lifts or oversize tires.

I'll keep that in mind, WestTN.
Partner has made it back to Richmond now. He's home safe, with chipper, and apparently has been learning a bunch of PS owners on I-81 about Cummins power.
Wish I coulda been there.
