I think we are gonna give her a shot.

Heck go for it, someone almost had me talked into towing a 14x70 mobile home about 25 miles one time , but instead I opted to tow the 12x12 addition and follow the toter and mobile, boy that took a little attention when coming to narrow bridges (7 foot wide truck with 13 foot wide trailer) .

I did pull that thing off the pad and about 80 foot down a gravel drive way (to get to the toter) but the truck was on the bumpstops and the tires looked about half flat (with 70psi in them) ...

Pictures.....

Not the heaviest load in the world, but several chords of fresh cut oak will get her above #28,000 GCVW pretty fast.

If it is not wider than 103" and your not over your gvwr. Go make some money.

This is copied from PA DOT http://www.dot10.state.pa.us/pdotfor.../chapter49.pdf

Cross References. Subchapter B is referred to in sections 4961, 4962, 4968, 4970, 4977,
4978, 4979.4 of this title.
§ 4921. Width of vehicles.
(a) General rule.--The total outside width of a vehicle, including any load, shall not exceed
eight feet except as otherwise provided in this section. With regard to stinger-steered automobile or
boat transporters or vehicles operating as provided in section 4908 (relating to operation of certain
combinations on interstate and certain other highways), the total width of a vehicle, including any
load, shall not exceed eight and one-half feet, except as otherwise provided in this chapter.

I don'y know US or state law in regards to this, but I would like to point out something. You'd be surprised at how many busy-bodies are on the highways w/cell phones just waiting to call the Police to report something. I will tell you that if it LOOKS overloaded, someone will call it in. Keep that in mind.

If you're going to haul junk, please make sure that no "junk" is going to fall of your load. We had a fatal incident here a while ago where a woman was struck in the face by a piece of metal that fell of a big rig going the opposite direction. Went through the windshield and hit her in the face while she was sitting in the cab beside her husband. Made quite a mess of many lives.

13' is just getting started. I've pulled drills and planters over 23' wide before...with an escort consisting of a truck in front (blocker) and truck in back (also blocker).

Anything under about 17', we don't even bother with an escort. Keep in mind though, we aren't allowed to run freeways with farm equipment...until we put it on a trailer

could be heavier than it looks, some of those axles with a diff, drums and hubs can weigh over 1500lbs each. does it have wheels/tires?
