i have yet to pull anything with mine, due to not having a ball attachment for my hitch.

i stand behind anyone who is willing to do what it takes to get the job done. sometimes waiting on a bigger truck or trailer to do the job is not an option, especially if it involves grain or hay.

It actually was not a handful at all handled rock solid....stops great with the lrager brakes on the 12 ton axles....i was surprised how well it pulled....

yeah i just sold it for a 6 banger 1/2 ton dodge with a 6" lift on the front and a 4" drop on the rear so i can haul my OVERLOADED 40'er through downtown dallas/fort worth area at rush hour! WATCH OUT HERE I COME! i need to get another ranchhand so i dont get any more dents from family minivans with canada license plates that pull out in front of me. can you believe i got 10k cash for that set up?

 

The heaviest I have hauled is a John Deere 4x4 5525 cabbed tractor with loader and a New Holland 4x6 Roundbaler that had a role in it on our 28' tandem gooseneck. I used valet mode and it got up to speed just fine even with high timing but stopping sucked...

Longhorn, the title of this thread isnt "post your biggest load, so the know-it-alls and bash you & your rig"

If you dont like bjs04's load, then simply say so and move on with it. You dont have to rub his nose in it. (not like anyone cares that you think its unsafe)

No, it probably wasnt the safest or smartest move, but thats not your problem.

i think he is just here to rain on the parade. i have read some of his other post and im not the only one taking the heat. when i see stuff like this coming down the road i just look, laugh and move on!

 

I am sure some have seen it on here, but I pulled my shop up from nebraska to alaska that weighed 43,000 lbs on a 3/4 ton. It is in my pics

Im embarrassed to even post my heaviest load after seeing these pictures!

I just delivered 55 boxes of 16"x16" ceramic tile, 10 bags grout, tool boxes, dollys, hand truck, Mitre Saw, Compressor, my luggage and my 235# self to my Moms house 650 miles away in NW Alabama. I dont know what each box weighed, but it sagged the rear about 5-6".
I was happy it got 16.9 calculated MPG at 70MPH. Thats including the mountains through Birmingham up I-65. Well done Mr. Cummins!

 

I can't swear to it but that sounds like a 5000 pound load to me. I'm guessing that the tile boxes weigh 80 pounds each. And the bags of grout at 40 pounds each.
