gooseneck hitches
Does anyone have any recommendations on beneath the bed or hidden ball gooseneck hitches TO FIT A '91? I’d like to find one that doesn’t require dropping the fuel tank or lifting the bed to install. Welding and/or drilling doesn’t concern me too much. If anyone has actually installed one that they are pleased with, please inform me on part numbers and level of effort for installation. Thank you.

Welcome to the site Triple D. Lots of good information on this site. People always willing to share... and share... and share. I think someone with a 1st Gen will be happy to help. Is it gas or diesel and does it have the 30 gallon fuel tank? The frame rails and the bed too for that matter are made of thicker material than under my 2003. I would consult a machine shop or custom truck bed shop and ask for recommendation. I like a 1" thick plate welded across the tops of the frame rails with a hidden hitch. The release can be on top of the bed or underneath inside the wheel well. Good luck. Nathan

Had the Hidden Hitch installed in Richmond. One bolt to loosen and the ball lays over flat out of the way.
