Front Mounted Receiver

I'm thinking abou putting on a Hidden Hitch front mounted receiver on my RAM. I'm thinking about doing this instead of getting the tow hooks. I am concerned that the receiver will hang too low. Does anyone have experiance with a front mounted receiver? Can someone post pictures if they have installed?

Thanks!

Great way to go, I have had front recievers on nearly all my trucks. I found a web site with one (posted in another thread about tow hooks) but no photos.

Someone please post a photo on a thrid gen truck!

okay, pics are approved and ready for all to see. The bottom of the receiver hitch on my truck is 14" off the ground. The front differential is actually lower than the hitch, so if you are worried about it hitting anything, then your front diff will catch it first before the hitch would.

Hitch was $104 from local hitch shop, and is rated for 9000lbs pull, 300lbs tongue weight.

Is your hitch made by Hidden Hitch?

Was that front hitch an easy bolt-on?

Front receiver built into the bumper - no tow hooks. I plug in my winch front or back...

surfram, the hitch is a complete bolt on. If you have the proper tools you should be able to do it your self.

All, I put new picture in my gallery. I took these today in the daylight, so you can see them better.

Festus,

At work I have been called "mad max like" because of my ranch hand front bumper, but I bow before you with your bumper. That is one killer bumper and light system.
