Electric brake questions

I flopped the axles on my 5ver to make it sit more level with my truck, i pulled the axles disconnecting the wires were they come out of the axles. Welded new perches on the top and reinstalled, reconnected the electric brake wires and now my controller is saying no connection...I marked the wires before disconnecting- the wires coming from the axles are both white with no continuity difference? Is there a way to do an ohms test on the brakes to see if the problem is in the brakes or in the wiring. They are Dexter 5200 # axles.

There is no polarity on the magnets. Get a test light or volt meter and test for volatage at the wires. I can't remember for sure but I believe these are series circuits so if one is disconnected I don't think any will work but don't quote me on that. It has been a while since I looked at the schematics. Also you did do the welding with trailer unplugged from the truck?

Also check the pin on the connection and make sure you see volate when the break is applied. That is the easiest to do to divide and concure.

I pulled the axles off the trailer when I welded the perches on, so no my truck wasn't connected to my trailer during welding, so the controller itself should be ok. Guess the only thing to do is get the volt
meter out like you said and go to town.

Thanks for your input

Any time, hope what I provided will be useful. Have you found the cause as of yet?
