There is a TSB (13-001-03) that covers the allowed frame modifications. I drilled my frame to install my Signature hitch per Reese which was within the guidelines of DC. My tag a long hitch was factory installed. I'd follow hitch mfg recomendations. They know the requirements set out by DC.

Ray Roton,
I was just on the phone with a camper sales place and they were telling me about the bolt on brackets for the reese little rocker 5th wheel hitch. I think what you have is the same as what they were talking about. How hard was it to install and did the brackets come with measuring instructions for drilling into truck bed. I understand the brackets use prexisisting holes already in the frame from dodge.
