drawtite brake activator

Does anyone have a schematic for a drawtite activator. Or maybe some advice. Mine works using the lever on the controller but not when I hit the brakes. I haven't been able to find any disconnected wires but there is bound to be one somewhere that would cause this.

Make sure you are getting power to the red wire when you apply the brakes.

Might be the Draw-Tite controller. I had one go bad on my like that.... It just went out... replaced with prodigy and no more problem since.

Power to the red wire would be my first thought though.

Boiler-Rat,
Do yourself a favor and go buy a Jordan Ultima - - no comparison in how you will enjoy putting on your brakes from what you have.

I didnt read that it was a new install or it worked good prior but I will say thru the ownership of 2 of them its locked up wheels or nada it seems. If it works manually there has to be juice exiting it to the trailer, if the brake pedal dosent activate it I would say the wire to the brake light signal may be broke or the unit has gone bad. Should be 1 10/12ga ground to battery, one 10/12 ga hot lead to a circut breaker then battery, one 12ga out to the trailer(blue) and a white?? for the brake light signal.
