draw tite activator
First let me appologize for another brake controller question because I know there are lots of posts about brake controllers! I did a search on this forum and I think I have learned some things about brake controllers.
I have a draw tite activator in my older truck and I haul a heavy 2 horse metal trailer with a dressing room and a very big bad horse (sometimes 2 horses). Max wt 6500 lbs? I hate adjusting the brake controller, I always have to read which **** to turn for different loads and yes there are only 2 ***** but I still am brake controller challanged.
I get to pick up my new '04 on Saturday ;D and I have to make a brake controller decision. Are the jordan or prodigy that much better for my small load, I want safety and ease of adjustment first, I don't really care about the cost. I need a smooth ride for my horse who is very nervous about trailering. Should I get rid of the activator?

Re:draw tite activator
You will get a lot of oppinions here about controllers, but from what I have read, the Jordan is just about the best out there. The guys that are running them say that they are far better that the inertia or pendulum type. My next one will be a Jordan.

Yes, the two best are the Jordan and the Prodigy ;D
I have used the Prodigy for 2 years in 2 different trucks, I currently have the Jordan but have not pulled with it yet, I still have may Prodigy just incase (I doubt it) I'm not satisfied with the results
If you go Prodigy by the already made up pigtail that way it just plugs right in without any wire splicing

Re:draw tite activator
I ordered a prodigy today, I checked on e-bay for a good deal but all the items are from the US and if they will ship to Canada (most won't) I'll have to pay brokarage, duty and shipping, a bit of a chore to save a few bucks. I got one for 189.00 Cdn. I asked some places about the Jordan and no-one had heard about it so I went with the prodigy. Are they easy to install? My trailer hitch place quoted me about 170.00 to install a brake controller (that's Canadian funds).

Re:draw tite activator
You have a towing package, so all you need is the pigtail from Prodigy to plug into the wiring harness that is already in your truck. Then find a place to mount the controller. Not more than a 15-20 minute job, even if you're slow like me.
