different types WD hitches
We need a new WD hitch to replace our old Eaz-Lift 1,000/10,000 because we will have near 1,400 lb tongue weight on our new extended tongue. Our trailer is in the shop being modified to have our generator and a new air compressor mounted behind the batteries so the tongue is being extended about 24 inches. I'm familiar with the round bar type WD hitches using chains but was wondering about switching to a trunnion setup, maybe with chains or solid bars. If anyone out there has used both and has an opinion I'd like to hear it.

You're in luck, we just had a similar post:

I had the Eaz-lift 1200lb (I think that's the biggest they make) on my last trailer and it was fine.
