Coleman/Fleetwood Pop-up: Cover or not?
I'm in the Central Valley Cali (90-110 degrees) would putting a cover on the trailer harm it? I have concerns that it will trap too much heat since the covers are Dark Gray (With UV protection), while the trailer top is white which would reflect more heat but would leave the plastic open to UV rays.

It's been covered since purchased used maybe 3.5yrs ago. It's a 2003. The plastic underside of the front storage lid (Glued) has come free, the plastic ceiling rails/tracks for the removable door have cracked and the ceiling liner is drooping a bit in a small 2" X 4" area next to the rails/tracks (Almost like when paint bubbles from water damage) but no water damage or mold is apparent.

my frends have a colman pop up and its been stored inside and it is displaying the same signs too. maybe its from bouncing down the road,RV are like boats a place to put your $$
maybe talk to a repair center see if its a common issue with them

We have one as well an 04 model. It may depend on the type of roof it has, I think I recall reading in the literature that you shouldnt cover one type of their roof materials and that it would void the roof warranty if covered though with an 03 that is probably long gone anyway. I think depending on the model and year they came with different roof coverings. Ours has never been covered and so far so good except for one spot inside where it is as you describe looks like the paint bubbling in one small area and it may correspond with the roof rail(the ones on the top outside) but havent really checked it out yet as I just noticed last time out. May be worth a call to fleetwood certainly wouldnt want to make it worse. I thought about recoating the roof but it is that funky plastic stuff so not sure how well that will work but have not done any investigating on it yet.

Ya, it has the ABS type roof opposed to the aluminum. Manual is long gone, but I'll look on-line for it to see if it is one of the "Do not cover" versions. Fleetwood wouldn't help me since they are involved in a lawsuit with Coleman presently. I know they've discontinued the ceiling tracks for the door which I don't really know what point they served anyways, you have to support the weight of the door so the tracks just get in your way in my opinion.
