The thing is it sets down on top of the frame like a saddle so they'd have to loosen and lift the bed to remove it. Also, the step bumper mounts to the factory hitch if I recall correctly. They COULD replace it, but it would be a difficult I would think. It took the Dodge dealership 4 hours to install my Class IV factory hitch (didn't come on the truck so I had them add it as part of the deal).
