brakemate mt

I recently purchased a CTD truck and it has a brakemate MT controller in it, I am having trouble getting this thing set right as I have no manual, could someone that has one please let me know how to do this, my brakes SURGE every few second I have my foot on the pedal no matter how hard I am pressing it. I just want it to apply pressure consistantly not SURGE! Any help is greatly appreciated..

What about this?

I was in the same predicament. The Chevy 1/2 ton I bought also had a BrakeMate MT installed and I had no manual. Searching around I did find a picture of the Hidden Hitch OmnicTrac brake controller that looks IDENTICAL to the BrakeMate. I called them and they told me it is a product made by Tekonsha. I called Tekonsha and they said it is identical to their Accutrac brake controller. You can find wiring diagrams, quick reference card, and installations instructions here http://www.tekonsha.com/accuarac.html

Unfortunately, there is no factory plug in my truck for the wiring, so I'll have to stay with the hard wired the controller. Apparently most newere trucks have a receptacle that just plugs in.

Good luck

Thank you very much. I'll look at that and hopefully straighten things out, I think the little lever on the side does something for surging, not sure yet tho.
