Brake controller problems-frustrated!

Tekonsha Voyager. Had a short that blew 40 amp trailer fuse in pdc. Now controller is not working. I can get green light if I short out blue brake wire. Light turns red when I slide tab but not if I push on brake pedal. What does that mean?

Buy a maxbreak and throw your controller in the garbage (junk) They are the best controllers . Problem solved !

Are you getting brake lights on the truck? Sounds like you blew the fuse to the brake light circuit too, which is what sends power to the brake controller when you step on the pedal. Aside from that, you may have fried your controller. A short strong enough to blow a 40 amp fuse is a pretty good short!

Thanks all. I got it figured out. Turns out that the oem 7 pole round female plug was shorting out. Replaced that and all is good. The way my truck is wired for the flat bed was making it really confusing even though having a complete diagram. What really helped was getting a 2nd opinion (help) to straighten out my confusion.
