Brake Controller for Factory Hookup

I've got the factory hookup for a brake controller that's by the driver's knee under the steering wheel. What brake controllers will plug in to the factory location w/out a wiring harness?

You will have to provide the harness for any controller. Trailer Supply, TSC, any RV place.... Normally, the pigtail adapter is quite reasonable. After that, it's basically plug and play.

As to what brand, do a search on brake controllers. Myself, I have a Brakesmart and a no-name brand. Either work, but I perfer the Brakesmart.

Your choice.

Okay, will do my research. I assumed that the factory tow package would come with a brake controller, or at least have an aftermarket one that would fit up to the factory plug.

I'll check around underneath the dash when I get home.

It Comes in a bag with the truck usually in the glove compartment or in a storage area... then you plug that into the socket/plug under the dash by the e-brake..

I can recommend the Prodigy controller. Using it on an '01. The plug adapter was around $10. Litterly a plug-n-play deal and the controller is very predictable.

Several brands of brake controllers can be ordered for late model dodge, and will come with the matching plug already attached (at least that's how my last two came).

Lots of threads on brake controllers...
