Isn't it amazing? I was floored. I've been selling brake controllers all my adult life and on this site I've heard people say to "stop fooling around, get a brake smart, get a max brake". I couldn't imagine what the big deal is. A brake controller is pretty much a brake controller no who makes it. Oh sure, some work better than others, but they're all pretty much the same. WRONG! I got the Max brake and could not believe the difference. There is so much more braking control, so much smoother, no jerking. Just amazing. I think, even for the occassional hauler, the top of the line brake controllers are well worth the money.
Scott says it like it is - - You tow with a Max Brake or Brakesmart and you will never say another word about your Prodigy - - no comparison. Don't even work on the same principle. My Prodigy stays in the storage bin just perchance I ever have a controller problem.

Yeah, I'd have to say I was astounded the first time I used my Brakesmart.
I had no clue that electric drums were capable of that kind of smoothness and stopping power.
The trailer and truck brakes work seamlessly together, like the same way the truck's front and rear brakes work together when you aren't towing.
