Re:Which Brake Controller?

Nagi,
Prodigy is well known because they are marketed by Camping World. Jordan is only available from the factory, unless you find someone who made a group buy. And, the trailer places like the Prodigy because they just mount it and plug it in. Jordan takes an extra 15 minutes or so to mount because of the bracket. It is something they are not familiar with, therefore they don't want to mess with it. I sure like my Jordan better than the old Prodigy. I left the Prodigy in my old truck - - better them than me to have it.

Bob

Re:Which Brake Controller?

Nagi, the Reese brake controller is OK if your trailer weighs less than 4,000 lbs. I bought a bigger trailer and my old Reese controller was dangerous! I threw it away after I bought a Jordan. I couldn't even give it away in good conscience.

Nagi,

I agree with Jetson. Pay $65000 for a trailer, $40000 for a truck, and hedge at $140 for a good controller that can save your life and make your life a lot more comfortable. ???

Now, let's reconsider this decision.

ScardyCatBob

Re:Which Brake Controller?

The Jordan 2020 is awesome. I have used it now for the past year towing a loaded 15K Race trailer. I do not have to worry if the Prodigy or other simillar brand is guessing right, or is it that my a$$ is chewing a hole thorugh the seat I lived in Colorado and I can say it was the Jordan that saved my but a few times. Once in a snowstorm as a tractor tralier jacked in front of me while going down hill. I just leaned down and used the manual button and let the trailer slow me down and then used the track break when it was safe. I think I owe it my life or was just really lucky!

Re:Which Brake Controller?

Snowman,
You reflect my feelings exactly. When the roads are slick, I want to control the amount of braking being done. And, I don't want a surge hitting the trailer just because I touched the brake pedal enough to light up my brake lights. The Jordan makes the truck and trailer feel like one.

Re:Which Brake Controller?

I have the Prodigy and love it. I haul horses and heavy trailers. It has always worked well for me, in all types of terrain. Rocky Mountains are not for the meek when you are towing heavy loads.
