Black streaks on aluminum

This may seem like a no brainer to most. I have tried many products to get rid of those black streaks that run down the side of my white aluminum TT, they just don't work!

What do you use? Where do you get it?

Thanks in advance!

Michael

Oxi-clean mixed in with my zip wax works well. Wash the roof first, the black streaks are coming from the junk on the roof. Then wash the camper. So far it's the best thing I have found. Once clean, give it a good wax so it won't stick as bad next time. Kevin D.

Re:Black streaks on aluminum

I have fiberglass sides so I'm not sure, but I use all the Thetford products to wash down the RV and they seem to work great! The roof cleaner makes it bright white again, the RV wash and wax does great on the sides and on the truck, and the awning cleaner eats thru those leaf stains like nothing... ;D

Tony

Voom, found at Camping world works great. It's about $18/gal and goes a long way.

Re:Black streaks on aluminum

I work with a RV Company on a daily basis. I have spent a bunch of money (there money) Trying many different products to get ride of the black streaks on the campers.
I have finally found it...It is called RV Wizard. It is made in Augusta Ga. I dont have the name of it in front of me, but if anybody is interested in it email me and I will get the address and phone number.

Believe it or not, but a rv mechanic who works for the manufacturer, "Luxury by Design" told me "Scrubbing Bubbles" is the way to go. Never tried it yet, but will..Get it in any grocery store. It also leaves the aluminum shinny. If anyone tries it, please report back.

Just noticed the other day while cleaning some of my camper to silicone seal - that mineral spirits was cleaning off most of the black.

Best stuff I've used in Camco's "Black Streak Remover" Get it a WalMart. It will remove the wax from the surface if used full strength. It also is excellent for removal bugs from any surface.

Re:Black streaks on aluminum

Just as Dave said, I also use Black Streak Remover from WALMART from a spray on bottle. Works awesome in full strength application. Spray it on with only a mild scrubbing and thats it, black streaks are gone ;D ;D

Re:Black streaks on aluminum

I had a travel trailer with the toughest black stains I have ever seen and tried most of the products already mentioned and none of them worked. I found RV 455 on the web and it worked really good. Here is their web site www.rv455.com

Re:Black streaks on aluminum

There is a Black Streak Remover on the
RV market but I have found that they disappear the min. you hit them with paste wax. Of course then you have to wax the whole rig.
